Our Story

Rockies Power Reserve Limited was founded in 2025 by Aaron Doyle, a Calgary-based electrical design leader with nearly 20 years of hands-on experience in power systems, renewable energy and electrical design. For the past seven years, Aaron has run his own electrical design firm, delivering projects across a wide range of industrial sectors in North America. He holds the Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation from the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET) and an Advanced Certificate in Sustainable Energy Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).

Seeing the rapid growth of Alberta wind and solar, and the province's need for reliable clean power, Aaron founded Rockies Power Reserve to develop battery energy storage with Alberta's wind and solar farms and businesses, then build, manage and operate those projects on behalf of owners and partners.
