Partners & Collaboration

Rockies Power Reserve Limited partners with existing wind and solar farms (co-located storage that shares their existing grid connection) and with industrial and commercial businesses (behind-the-meter batteries that cut demand charges and add backup power). The host pays nothing. We develop and build each project, then manage and operate it on behalf of project owners and partners. We engage early with AESO, the AUC, municipalities, Indigenous communities and landowners.

Wind & Solar Farms

We add battery storage at existing wind and solar farms, co-located to share the farm's existing grid connection. The host pays nothing. We develop, build and operate the storage.

Industrial and Commercial Businesses

We install behind-the-meter batteries at industrial and commercial facilities to cut demand charges and add backup power. The host pays nothing. We develop, build and operate the system.

Land Owners

Where a project needs its own site, we work with landowners on long-term lease agreements designed to minimize disturbance and allow the land to be returned to its original use at the end of the project.

We partner with local Alberta businesses and contractors by giving them preferred access to construction, electrical, civil, maintenance, and supply contracts for Rockies Power projects. These partnerships support local jobs and help ensure our projects are built and serviced by the same Alberta companies and workers who call the region home.
